Psalm 91 is worth reading and praying to understand it better within your soul. Psalm 91, to me, speaks volumes on how God protects us and it is a Psalm of hope when life seems hopeless. There has been books written just about Psalm 91 books by Peggy Joyce Ruth that I suggest you look into. I personally like the Living Bible translations but I encourage you to look at several different translations until one speaks to your heart. Also the book of James is very important to read. There is a lot in James that has touched my heart. It's a smaller book in the Bible so it wouldn't take much time to read it and I promise you will come out of it with a better understanding of what God expects from his children.

Another great read is Fervent by Priscilla Shirer. Its all about how to pray Fervently and is, in my opinion, a must read also.
