Building each other up

The Bible was not given to increase our knowledge but to change our lives (D.L. Moody)

A true servant attitude does not approach a weaker less capable, less mature or more easily tempted brother or sister with condescension or even sympathy.

Romans 15:12 We who are strong ought to bear with the failing of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor for his good to build him up.

Romans 15:5-8 May the God who gives you a spirt of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accept one another just as Christ accepted you.

Proverbs 26:20 Fire goes out for lack of fuel and tensions disappear when gossip stops.

Romans 14:1 Accept him whose Faith is weak, without passing judgement on disputable matters.

Romans 14:1 reminds me not to let silly or petty little arguments or disagreements get in the way of doing Gods work. We should be either praying for people or building each other up in Faith and friendship. The words "we don't like someone" should never come out of our mouths. We are to love one another and show forgiveness for one another as God loves and forgive us ALWAYS!

I have had to turn to people my entire life to help keep me on track. They don't do this cause they think I will never be strong enough on my own, they do this to keep me close to Jesus when I have fallen so far away. We are suppose to step in and pray for one another and sometimes I am so down I can't even pray all I can do is cry. It is in these moments that I know I have a friend or a family member or someone stepping in to fill the gap for me. When our lives get to a point that we can't even explain our hurt into words that's when prayers from others, lifting us up is so important. When I am no longer in a valley but I am back on my voyage up the mountain I can not forget how to act when hurt people are put in my path. I need to stop, listen, pray and continue doing that until the person I am praying for can continue on there journey also. If someone comes in your life that is hurting and you tell them you will pray for them then DO IT! There is nothing worse than thinking you have someone to count on and you don't. God is always watching how we treat each other. He knows all and one day we will all be held accountable for the things we did and said during our short time on earth. So spend the time you have building each other up and not tearing each other down.
