Trusting in the Lord
Jesus has not brought you all this way to drop you. He will not leave you aimless or answerless. He knows what he’s doing. He knows where he’s taking you. You will have what you need when you need it. Not when you want it perhaps. But when you need it. This test is about trust.
-Beth Moore
These words came across my Facebook at the exact time I needed to hear them. Because God has perfect timing. I am still waiting in the Hallway of life but I am becoming prepared for whatever God has in store. I have now earned my certificate to be a Biblical Counselor and I am currently diving deep into the scriptures, not just the New Testament, which I understand the most, but the Old Testament which I know my heart needs to understand also. When I finally am able to start counseling others my prayer is that God will bring to me the people he wants me to help, and I must learn to depend on him to touch others in a supernatural way, so that people can say, “God showed up and miracles happened in that counseling session today.”
I am so excited to get started but I still am waiting for doors to open. As I wait I hold on to Philippians 4:6-7 Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God your needs and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.
I am experience God’s peace as I wait and I am so thankful for that Peace. I know God called me to be a counselor, that I know for sure. But God never revealed to me when that counseling would begin. This is my time to trust in the Lord.
1Peter 2:6 Those who trust the Lord will not be disappointed.
Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage, wait for the Lord.
